APSU's O'Connor contributes to article on mass killings

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. 鈥 Dr. Tom O鈥機onnor, Austin Peay State University associate professor of Criminal Justice/Homeland Security, recently co-authored an article, 鈥淢ass Killings: What We Know and Where Do We Go,鈥 in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities 鈥 American Institute of Science.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. 鈥 Dr. Tom O鈥機onnor, Austin Peay State University associate professor of Criminal Justice/Homeland Security, recently co-authored an article, 鈥淢ass Killings: What We Know and Where Do We Go,鈥 in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities 鈥 American Institute of Science.

The article is based on a roundtable discussion he participated in at Charleston, South Carolina, during the fall of 2015. The roundtable was part of the annual meeting of the Southern Criminal Justice Association, which is the regional affiliate of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

O鈥機onnor鈥檚 main contributions to the article focused on theory and prevention, but he also assisted with the mental health section and the gun control section.
