As you can see in the video below, Govs come from all over the country, and they have all sorts of goals. We know our new Govs are ready to roll.
Stories from the move-in
- Lynne Halliburton, senior administrative assistant with Student Affairs, shared the story of a musical theatre major who traveled from Dallas, Texas, to move into her new room on Thursday. 鈥淏eing so far away from home, she was a little concerned about making friends, but I told her there would be lots of ways for her to get involved,鈥 she said.
- Caroline Howell, an incoming freshman from Dover, comes from a history of educators, including her mother, a former Austin Peay adjunct professor. 鈥淚鈥檓 really excited for classes to start," she said. She plans to major in history and Spanish education.
APEX Weekend is coming

APEX includes the Freshman Service Project, the Monocle Madness Carnival, both on Saturday, Aug. 24, and the Gov Run color run on Sunday, Aug. 25. For highlights about APEX Weekend, go here.
Classes start Monday, Aug. 26.
