Partnership with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts
The Department of Theatre and Dance partners with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts to provide:

Artists-in-Residence: Professional artists who join APSU to share specialized expertise with students, faculty, and the community

Visiting Artists: Industry professionals offering interactive lectures, Q&A sessions, and hands-on workshops

Student Production Enhancements: Professional support including orchestra musicians, guest directors, choreographers, designers, and more.
Student Opportunities
The APSU Department of Theatre and Dance produces five major mainstage productions annually, including two musicals, two plays and one dance concert. Students gain valuable experience both on stage and behind the scenes.
Working with talented and knowledgeable faculty, students develop their performance, creativity, and professional development skills through courses ranging from playwriting to voice over production to stage management and more.
