Annual #GovsGive online giving event underway at govsgive.com

Austin Peay State University’s annual online giving event, #GovsGive2021, is underway with the goal of fundraising for the University’s colleges’ Funds of Excellence, athletics and student affairs.
The #GovsGive2021 campaign runs from 10 a.m. April 20 to 7:27 p.m. April 21. The event lasts 1 day, 9 hours, 27 minutes, which coincides with 1927, when APSU was founded.
The Funds of Excellence allow the deans and directors in academic and student areas to provide students with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

The award from the Tennessee Department of Education will provide funding for teacher apprentices through July 2027. The Grow Your Own Teacher Residency provides a no-cost pathway to a teaching career and was named the first federally-registered teacher apprenticeship in the nation.
