APSU’s Adrienne Wilk announced as one of 25 people to achieve international simulation operations specialist credential

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Society for Simulation in Healthcare announced On March 30 that Austin Peay State University adjunct Adrienne Wilk, MSN, RN, CHSE, CNE, CHSOS-A, has earned the international Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist-Advanced™ (CHSOS-A™) credential. She joins the ranks of 25 people from four countries who have achieved this distinction. Wilk submitted a portfolio that demonstrated her advanced performance as an operations specialist in the healthcare simulation field. This was peer-reviewed against established standards of performance. The comprehensive CHSOS-A™ credential covers design, delivery, technological and operational simulation principles, as well as leadership and demonstrated impact on the field to meet the needs of healthcare learners at all levels. Wilk is an adjunct faculty at Austin Peay State University’s School of Nursing. She assists Nursing Simulation Coordinator Cindy Meyer in managing the simulation curriculum in the school’s Nursing Simulation Center. APSU's Eriksson College of Education receives $1.025M Grow Your Own grant

The award from the Tennessee Department of Education will provide funding for teacher apprentices through July 2027. The Grow Your Own Teacher Residency provides a no-cost pathway to a teaching career and was named the first federally-registered teacher apprenticeship in the nation.
