Jody graduated from Austin Peay in 1973 and went on to work for South Central Bell Telephone Company. Together they have two sons, Rob and his wife, Dana, of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Will of Clarksville. Over the years, the couple has given back to their alma mater through numerous athletic and academic funds and scholarships.

鈥淎s graduates of APSU, Jody and I were provided career opportunities in Clarksville and Montgomery County,鈥 Mr. Sanders said. 鈥淲e want this scholarship in agriculture to provide assistance and opportunities for others at Austin Peay.
