Austin Peay offers free Art + Design Day for aspiring art students
(Publishes Jan. 28, 2020)
The Department of Art + Design at Austin Peay State University will host its annual College Art + Design Day for high school students at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in the Art + Design Building.
The free event allows students interested in studying art to take workshops similar to those at Austin Peay to try out the major before having to commit to it. The day concludes with a portfolio review, and each year some high school seniors are offered scholarships based on their portfolios.
Parents and teachers also are invited to attend.
