APSU waiving ACT, SAT and GRE tests for 2021 summer and fall admission

campus

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. 鈥 It鈥檚 now easier than ever to apply to Austin Peay State University. That鈥檚 because the University is again waiving standardized test requirements 鈥 the ACT, SAT and GRE 鈥 for any student applying for undergraduate or graduate admission for the summer and fall 2021 terms. The University adopted this test-optional admission policy earlier this year because of the many challenges potential students faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

鈥淒uring these challenging times, students don鈥檛 need the added stress of worrying about these tests in order to enroll in college,鈥 Dr. Maria Cronley, APSU provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e excited for these students to become Governors, and we鈥檙e removing the obstacles that might prevent them from applying and succeeding at Austin Peay. It鈥檚 never been easier to become a Gov.鈥

Potential students still need to meet the University鈥檚 other admission requirements, such as having a 2.75 high school GPA or higher. That information is available at . Information on graduate admission is available at /grad-studies/apply-admission.

The University also offers several scholarships to incoming students, and that information is available at /scholarships/scholarship-opportunities/academic-scholarship-opportunities.php.
