The committee will examine the rationale for current caps, their impact on pedagogical effectiveness, student access to courses, and faculty workload. The goal is to propose a data-informed and transparent framework for setting and adjusting course caps to support high-quality instruction and equitable student outcomes

Academic Red

The committee will examine current practices for assigning and tracking TLC, with the goal of developing a transparent and equitable system for "smoothing" teaching loads over time to ensure fairness and prevent imbalances across semesters and academic years. The ultimate goal is to create a system that balances institutional needs with faculty well-being and consistent workload distribution.

Faculty White

The purpose of this committee is to review, evaluate, and provide recommendations on institutional policies related to academic off-contract assignments and course minimum enrollment requirements. The committee will examine current practices for assigning these duties, their impact on faculty workload, resource allocation, and curriculum sustainability, and propose a transparent and equitable framework for the future. The ultimate goal is to ensure that these valuable opportunities are shared fairly among qualified and interested faculty members, while still meeting the critical needs of the institution.

Ad Hoc Committee (Office hours)

The purpose of this ad-hoc committee is to conduct an analysis of faculty office hour policies at comparable Large Governmental Institutions (LGIs), particularly evaluating number of hours weekly, course modality, etc. The goal is to identify and recommend best practices that align with our institutional mission to support student success, faculty effectiveness, and academic rigor through accessible and meaningful student-faculty interaction outside of class time.
