Training Schedule
The training schedule for the Govs Suite is currently available with new dates being added weekly. Our goal is to organize all training materials in a way that allows every employee to quickly and easily access the information they need to navigate the system effectively.
Training will be offered through a variety of formats, including in-person sessions, virtual classes, videos, and step-by-step guides. Registration links for instructor-led training are available on the Govs Suite calendar.

What training(s) should I attend?
Finance Trainings:

Drop-In Punchouts, Noncatalog, Business Meal, Payment Authorization, Purchase Orders, and Receiving Support: Casey & Lois will be available to sit with you, answer questions, and help get everything set up properly.

Drop-In Budget Support: Jacklyn will be available to sit with you, answer questions, and help get everything set up properly in regards to your budget.

Drop-In Virtual Assistance for Procurement: Available Monday–Wednesday, 9 AM–3 PM during the first three weeks of July. If you need help with any Procurement-related matters, feel free to join the Teams call—Casey and Lois are ready to assist.

Hands-On Punchouts, Noncatalog, Business Meal, Payment Authorization, Purchase Orders, and Receiving Training: This in-person session includes live demonstrations and real-time training. Stop by at your convenience—no appointment necessary.

Hands-On Travel Expense & Approvals Training: This session will be for anyone who submits travel requests for themselves or others. As well as anyone who approves travel requests.

Grant Funds Training: This session will cover expenses (credit card and travel) with grants and the new segments in our COA as it relates to grants.
Human Resources/Payroll Trainings

Employee Self Service Training: For all faculty, staff, and student workers. This session will include topics like updating your personal information, viewing salary/pay, viewing payslips, reviewing W2, adding personal payment methods, and viewing your benefit enrollments.

Staff Hiring: This training is for any individuals that is in charge of posting jobs for their department and is involved in the hiring process. It will include topics such as creating a job requisition, how to review candidates, scheduling interviews, and choosing a candidate.

Timesheet and Absence Training: Please attend according to your job type.
- Staff - This session will include topics about submitting absences, deleting absences, updating time cards, and reviewing leave balances.
- Managers - This includes all the same topics as staff, but also includes how to complete timesheet approvals.
- Student Workers and Temp Employees - This session will include information on how to clock in and out as well as how to request time changes.
