Start Your MHA, MPH, or PEAC Master's Early — For Free

High-achieving HHP undergraduate students can begin graduate coursework at no additional tuition cost through APSU's Accelerated Master's Pathway (AMP). If you're already paying undergraduate tuition, AMP lets you take a graduate-level course during your senior year without paying anything extra — giving you a meaningful head start in the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Public Health (MPH), or Performance Enhancement and Coaching (PEAC) master's programs.

Qualified seniors may enroll in one-two graduate course per semester during their final year, pending approval from the College of Graduate Studies.

Why AMP?

Accelerate your master's degree without paying graduate tuition yet.

Completing two AMP courses — 6 credits — during your senior year could reduce your remaining graduate coursework if you continue directly into the program.

Beyond the credit hours, AMP students:

  • Gain early exposure to graduate-level academic coursework and expectations
  • Strengthen their résumé for careers in their selected fields
  • Stand out in competitive employment and graduate admissions markets

Graduate grades earned through AMP do not count toward your undergraduate GPA — so there's no risk to your undergraduate academic record.

Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for AMP, students must:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA in a major relevant to the intended graduate program
  • Be within one or two semesters of completing their undergraduate degree
  • Meet with the Graduate Coordinator — Dr. Alex Adams (for PEAC), Dr. Blake Hendrickson (for MHA), or Dr. Kadi Bliss (for MPH) — before submitting an application

Individual graduate programs may have additional or more stringent criteria beyond these minimums. Those requirements are not listed on the website and should be discussed directly with the Graduate Coordinator or Department Chair for your intended program.

Enrollment through AMP does not constitute full admission to the College of Graduate Studies.

Poor performance in graduate-level courses may negatively affect future admission prospects at APSU or other institutions.

Not all graduate programs participate in the Accelerated Master's Pathway (AMP).
The following programs are not eligible:

  • Master of Nursing (MSN)
  • Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Master of Counseling
  • Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP)
  • Doctorate in Counseling Psychology (PsyD)
  • Doctorate in Education (EdD)
