Appreciation and Belonging Hour

Each month the Office of Institutional Culture (OIC) welcomes employees to come and be a part of an hour of appreciation. The OIC will acknowledge an employee, department, or unit and provide refreshments to all in attendance. Come out and spend time with your colleagues and help cultivate a culture of connectedness at APSU.

During this time, the OIC will acknowledge four (4) employees within a department or unit through the OIC’s “Everyday Excellence Appreciation Award.” This award recognizes the good work our employees do every day in their positions at APSU. At the end of the academic year, OIC will have a drawing to give away one iPad from the pool of nominated employees.

Everyday Excellence Appreciation Award

This awards recognizes the good work our employees do daily in their APSU positions

Nominees for this award should have demonstrated a combination of the following:

Fostering cooperation and collaboration through exceptional teamwork.
Consistently providing support, assistance, and encouragement to colleagues, often proactively.
Serving as a role model by building positive and productive relationships within the campus community.
Working collaboratively toward shared goals by sharing knowledge, facilitating learning, and building consensus.
Demonstrating attentiveness to the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional service.
Showing familiarity with campus policies and procedures, their impact on the university community, and a commitment to educating others about these policies.
