Crafting Your Department or Program Brochure
Want to promote your program? Here’s a quick guide to creating copy and gathering assets for your next print piece, made by the Office of Public Relations and Marketing.
Remember: Most prospective students turn to apsu.edu for information. Since people have access to details on their phones, your brochure doesn’t have to say everything—just the highlights that will inspire them to visit your website.
What should your brochure cover?
-
Why choose your program at Austin Peay?
- What makes your program unique? Who is a good fit?
-
What will students learn?
- Main themes, skills, and recent projects or research.
-
What classes are offered?
- Share key topics or a summary of core classes.
-
Which concentrations or minors are available?
- Briefly describe each (1–2 sentences).
-
What are the career outcomes?
- Possible job titles, job market trends, and salary expectations.
Tip: Add a student profile—just a photo and a short quote—to let prospects hear from their peers. The OPRM team can help gather and create this content.
